Gay Rights is not a Political matter. It is not even a Religious matter, so STOP the MADNESS and the ANGER.

I am sickened by the events in California and accross America that has Gay activists irrationally reacting to "Proposition 8"
Gay and Lesbians protesting, rioting, 'black listing' contributors, and basically terrorizing Churches - YES! Churches.

The fact is, Gays and Lesbians DO have the undeniable CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to be together. They may be gay, lesbian or bisexual. Undeniabley, they may also be married - within a spiritual union, of course.

Hear me out:

The creation and continuance of of our government stands on the health of our people, the ability of us to protect ourselves, and the ability of our people to reproduce.  It is within our physical make up to exist.

In essence, government recognizes marriage as a contract or "CIVIL UNION" and offers "assistance" for these couples that are attempting to procreate, and therefore produce the next generation of our formed Democracy. [A side note: let us not forget sometimes this ends up being the "marriage penalty" from the IRS.]

It is not for us to redefine the government's definition, as biology has predetermined the "CIVIL UNION". Regardless of politics, race, religion or any other reasons - your have the RIGHT to love and live any way you wish.

Proposition 8 was determined correctly. Same-sex marriages are UN-CONSTITUTIONAL
Also note: for those marriages that have already legally been allowed they should have special attention and NOT be retracted.

the Wall Street Crash of 2008 compared to 1929

WARNING: R-rated (for language)
During the 1929 Financial Crash it is said that some Wall Street Stock Brokers and Bankers JUMPED from their office windows and committed suicide when confronted with the news of their firms and clients financial ruin . . . Many people were said to feel sorry for them . . .

It is 2008, and the attitude has changed since 20's.

Americans Drive Less, Save More! I predict lower gas prices still a'coming.

The media calls it "bottoming out" for oil companies. I call it fair pricing ... finally.

As we are worrying ourselves more and more about tomorrow's financing, we spend less and less of what's left of our children's savings accounts on frivolous expenditures.  This equates to less traveling to and from stores and less shipping for purchases being delivered.  What's that got to do with gas prices?

Less demand. More supply. Lower prices.

(  Now we're remembering those e-mails about 'boycotting' gas stations on different days of the week in attempts to get them to lower prices, but that wouldn't work unless it's done enmasse.  )

Well, the only positive effect, to date, of the disastrous market crash of 2008 is the low gas prices. Unfortunately, inevitably I believe the negative effects of the market will far out weigh this positive benefit.  However, since I do not see a change in spending anytime soon, nor do I see travel or vacation booms in the near future -

I PREDICT:     Gas will be $1.50/gallon before long

Also, that gas will fluctuate around $1.50 until summer 2009, but will not go over $2.00/gallon until 2010 or later.
We'll see how well I do with my prediction =)

Can you effectively protect yourself, spouse, child, loved one?

How would you respond if you were carjacked?  What if you or a loved one was held at knife point?

DID YOU KNOW THAT ...

Every 22.2 seconds   One violent crime occurs
Every 30.9 minutes   One murder occurs
Every 5.7 minutes   One forcible rape occurs
Every 1.2 minutes   One robbery occurs
Every 36.6 seconds   One aggravated assault occurs
Every 3.2 seconds   One property crime occurs
Every 14.4 seconds   One burglary occurs
Every 4.8 seconds   One larceny-theft occurs

What is your plan if you you are confronted with a Mugger, Carjacker, Rapist, Intruder, Kidnapper, Terrorist or Anyone Else With Malicious Intent?

Now that we're on the subjet, let's make a PLAN.

Letter to the President Bush re: $25 Billion to Auto Industry

Send version to your Congressmen Today:
Dear President Bush,

I have faithfully followed your presidency, and have always been proud of you as my President. I have never before written to you, as I have never before felt so very strongly as I do now about an issue.

I oppose the $25 billion in emergency loans to the auto industry because I believe there is no end in sight to this request for help by the auto industry.  In addition, this will create a precedent for any industry or company that sees itself in trouble (or chooses to 'cook their books' in order to appear so).

I hope that you stand up for me and my family and say "NO!".  I protest, along with other like-minded citizens and wish for you to send a stern message to the auto industry and the like that would ask for our hard earned money: "We will no longer pay for their abominable choices, their high-pay for menial labor, their overblown executive pay-offs, their exclusive getaways that are reserved for 'LIFESTYLES of the RICH and FAMOUS' episodes, their fuel-guzzling private jets, and their Giorgio Armani suits."
We already have a recourse for these companies, the U.S. has existing business safety regulations, such as Chapter 11, and if necessary Chapter 7.
Hey, I have a great idea!  There are many trained educated engineers and enterprising 'Mom and Pops' that may begin to invent and make custom fuel-efficient automobiles without the monopoly of bulk American Auto Industry makers, and at some point maybe they'll give foreign auto makers a run for their money! You never know. As Americans, we can dare to dream.
And although I don't want to go on and on, I do have one last point:  Please don't forget that ALL THREE auto makers showed up with their hands out for money (each of them chauffered with but one of many of their private jets, why not start with liquidating those first, I wonder?).  Does anyone else remember that ONE OUT OF THE THREE is NOT even in economic trouble?  They only appeared in DC because they each want a piece of the bail-out pie.  And why not, if the others are getting some of the bail-out desserts for free?

I hope you stand with me, for my family, yours, and our future generations that will be paying for these gi-normours hand-outs.

You have been an unyielding inspiration, and I am sad to see the change in executive and legislative control of government. Regardless of what comes, my family will continue to pray for you, your family, and America.

Again, I THANK YOU for your time and service to this country.
Sincerely,

Just say NO! To the Big3 AutoMakers from Detroit.

They each came down on their private jets, sat down in front of congress and said 25 BILLION DOLLARS wont be enough. But they'll take it from the taxpayers, if Congress will give it. And, they will come back for more when it runs out. Guaranteed. Let's tell Congress what we think about that.

If you agree with me, click here and sign my petition to Oppose Big 3 Auto Maker Bailout

We have a voice - let's use it.
Next STOP, DC!

Oh, and if you disagree, feel free to make your own petition. =) After all, I believe in our Democracy!

Pray with ONE eye open Folks! Learn about Mr.&Mrs. CopyMan & Why we want YOU to be safe and secure.

New PRODUCTS on SamTheCopyMan.com a'coming, courtesy of our other business, SWATsupplies. Many of you may wonder why we began that business together, so here's our excerpt from MySpace about us and SWAT:

Sam's owned a thriving copier business since 1992, now called SWATsupplies Celeste has been a successful electrical designer/office manager and a single mother since 1992.

Sam and Celeste met in 2005 and were married within a month! Though a whirlwind romance, we have found that together we can do anything! Including raising a teenager, re-organizing an existing business, and finding a foundation for a new business as partners.

A new marriage AND a new business? Well, right after we eloped at the Las Vegas Garden of Love, our car and home was vandalized, there was an attempted kidnapping of our child and we found ourselves being stalked.
Fortunate for us, we have friends in the law enforcement field, so we were able to remedy the situations in short order.

Although getting through that nightmare is emotionally taxing and we feel as though we'll never fully recover from those feelings of being victimized and violated, it has helped to make our marriage and family stronger.
Becauce of our ordeal, we began to wonder about others in similar, or worse, situations. What if we had not had the resources that we had available to us? What if someone were victimized like we were and did not have the support like we had?

You can see where this is going... that one thing led to another, and Safety Warehouse and Training (SWAT) was born.

November 4th 2008 - bringing on NEW homeland terror? To and By our own People = unacceptable.

Yes, I know McCain / Palin 2008 did not perform well in the Electorat College.  The Popular vote, in contrast was not too bad, but either way - not enough for John McCain to win the Election.

I am quite disappointed in the outcome, of course, however I do feel I did my part.  My family and I spent time volunteering in Pennsylvania - we made phone calls, campain / rally signs, worked the John McCain Rally (where SamTheCopyMan actually met both Mr & Mrs McCain , and I met every man woman and child in lower PA AND lost my voice), and we even walked the are giving out campaign pins and offering information for anyone who felt they needed more before making a decision.

Finally, on Election Day, the family and I spent the day at a Polling Station STUMPING for "Say NO to Question #2" in Maryland.  Which we lost also.  This means we'll soon have slot machine casinos here in the state of Maryland - bringing with them the corruption, alcoholism, prostitution and lost property and values that are brought with casinos everywhere they are built.

A devastating day for Republicans accross the board - with many Democratic Representatives winning public offices formerly held by Republicans.

I do not consider myself a conservative in anyway.  What I do believe in: in our CONSTITUTION as it was original written, that we AMERICANS have certain UNDENIABLE RIGHTS.

Many things happened in 2008 that are resistant to conservative way of thinking, however they may see hope in that Californians stood up and said "no" to same sex marriages.

I will hope, also. And pray that the continued agressive actions of the people is actively stamped down by the new Chief Executive Officer.  Both President Bush and President Elect Obama need to step up and express that actions, basically of homeland terror, to and by our own citizens will be unacceptable.<< MORE >>

New administration? New way of thinking here in America.

New administration?  New way of thinking here in America.  Apparently, it is OK to attack a smiling, silently protesting old lady by taking her crucifix from her, crowding around her in a bullying fashion, and proceding to stomp on her (and 92% of other Americans) symbol of Christianity.

I began predicting many months ago that this country was "going down", and I still predict that the economy will get worse, and there will be riots on the streets.  I do not say this to cause panic, merely to warn my family that Americans live to close together, without much 'overlording', and are losing morals and values by the second.

This is not 'gloom and doom' talk, that's not my way, rather I am a realist.  At the merest hint of adversity, we resort to retaliation via muscle rather than mediation or debate.  This inevitably will coalesce to community guerrila warfare.

Don't agree?  Or think I am the likes of the Y2K criers (which I myself never believed, what a croc!)?

Remember what happened in 1992 when Rodney King was beaten and the police officers were not properly prosecuted?  This is what I envision when and if a large club/age/ethnic/sex group is disagreeable with a current action, wether it by political or current event.

Currently, we are getting a small taste of it throuout the country due to "Proposition 8", which was caused by FOUR JUDGES who decided to change the law to allow gays/lesbians to get married in California.  Then, the law states that THE PEOPLE must decide whether it can become a law, and THE PEOPLE AS A MAJORITY IN CALIFORNIA said NO TO GAY MARRIAGE.  Now, people all of the USA are getting hurt, and Christians are being targeted.  This is just the beginning, folks.

Take action NOW.  Create a safe plan for yourself.  Know who to call.  Check in with friends and family.  Be safe.

2 Things We All Know = Why ALL AMERICANS NEED to get out and VOTE McCAIN

2 Things AMERICANS ALREADY KNOW. So, let's Get out and VOTE McCAIN

#1 "You can't judge a book by its cover."

Many things have been revealled about both candidates.
Decidedly, Senator Obama has removed almost all traces of his past, which include the contents of his college thesis, explanation of friendships with un-American principled men and women, medical history (only a letter from his medical doctor), even questions still about Obama's citizenship.  In addition, he has never served in the military and has had only a very short political "carreer" which started in 1997 (that was served for 8 years with unkept 1996 campaign promises).

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger said it best today 'John McCain was a POW longer than Obama's been a U.S. Senator.'  McCain has proven himself an honorable war hero, comes from a long line of dedicated militarymen that have served our country now for the 4th generation, disclosed his medical history for media review, and has had a successful political career since 1982.

#2 "Choose your friends wisely."
This one explains itself, and here are some refreshers:
Barrack Hussein Obama's companions include Antoin "Tony" Rezko, Rev. Michael Pfleger, Emil Jones Jr, Rashid Khalidi, William Ayers, Rev. James Meeks and has worked with the company ACORN. Look these guys up, Obama has links with all of them, and each have questionable, even criminal character, some with anti-Isreal, socialist, communist, even terrorist ideals and histories. Obama has two children (in addition to a not much talked about poverty-stricken brother and aunt whom live separately), and Obama and his children currently live in Chicago, Illinois with his wife Michelle.

John Sidney McCain III has surrounded himself with positive role models throughout his life and career (the Obama Campaign likes to point out two unsavory characters in his past, wanting us to look past the timeline & the level of association which reveals that these are just weak attempts to divert attention away from the numerous relationships that Obama knowingly has had throughout his own life). McCain has been given glowing commendations from Hilary Clinton, Bill Clinton, and even Obama's own running mate Joe Biden. McCain has seven children (3 of which were adopted) and four grandchildren, and currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife Cindy.

'With facts like these, if elected, Obama would not qualify for his own security detail.' [courtesy Sean Hannity]

How sad it is when ... [ you finish this statement ]

... we pay under $3 per gallon for gas and are THRILLED?  Saw gas the other day for $2.86 and almost ran of the road.  How sad is that?  We are so conditioned to pay outrageous  prices that we consider ourselves on easy street when it ONLY costs $50 to fill our tank.  This is so wrong!

So what about you?  How would you finish the sentence:  How sad it is when..................<< MORE >>

Debate or not?

What are your thoughts on debates?  Do you find them to be helpful in getting to know a candidate and their issues?   Have you ever watched a debate and had it change your mind?

I think that we have our minds pretty much made up before the show even begins.  We watch our favorite candidate, typically overlooking any gaffes made and tear apart their opponent for every little thing that they say and do.

Power Tools are a Wonderful Thing!

For the first time this past weekend, I got the thrill, YES THRILL, of using a nail gun - I may never go back to a boring old hammer!

Having listened to men complain for years about having to work around the house I decided to put up new door frames myself.  Doing so made me realize that the whining was all a cover - POWER TOOLS ARE FUN.  Men just don't want women to realize the fun that can be had with an electric drill, power screwdriver, nail gun and compressor!  Not only do the new door frames look great, but I feel great having installed them myself.  Sure there is a sense of accomplishment, but the real thrill was from sending a nail coursing through a sold piece of wood with enough force to embed it completely.  What a stress reliever!

Ladies, grab your tools and get to work.  Men I advise you to just get out of the way - I would hate for there to be any "accidents"! << MORE >>

Don't believe everything you hear. Or read. Or see on TV. Or on the News. For goodness sake.

We heard our parents say it, we tell our friends, our kids, yet we often forget ... "DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU HERE."  Well, by golly especially in times of trouble we need to remind ourselves of this. People will take advantage of that lapse in memory and confuse details to heighten stress.

Just today my husband forwarded an e-mail that was sent to him by a friend that though I would find it interesting. Go ahead and peruse:

"This isn't my idea but when you sit down and think about it, it makes more sense than what they plan to do! === I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG. Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend. To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bona fide U.S. Citizens 18+. Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up.. So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals $425,000.00. My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend. Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let's assume a tax rate of 30%. Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam. But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket. A husband and wife has $595,000.00. What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family? Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved. Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads Put away money for college - it'll be there Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs. Buy a new car - create jobs Invest in the market - capital drives growth Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces. If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President. If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+! As for AIG - liquidate it. Sell off its parts. Let American General go back to being American General. Sell off the real estate. Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up. Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't. Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work." But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party! How do you spell Economic Boom? I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC. And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam. Ah...I feel so much better getting that off my chest." Kindest personal regards, Birk T. J. Birkenmeier, A Creative Guy & Citizen of the Republic

Yeah, he's a creative guy alright! I wonder how he got his calculator to spit out $425,000 when, for the life of me every time I plug in 85B/200M I get $425 EVERY TIME. But I guess his pitch just isn't as interesting with a four hundred dollars to work with, huh? Then again, he DOES lead in with a disclaimer that it ISN'T his idea - that's strange, isn't it?

I believe my point's been made. Ladies and gents, if you have any other "facts" that you would like me to get to the bottom of, please COMMENT or send me an email.  It's always great to hear from you.

It May Not be BAD that the Emer Econo Stabilization Act got a NO today

I am for the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. The government needs to step in and help out WALL STREET.

I strongly agree that there should be regulations against 'Golden Parachutes', taxpayer losses, and CEO's profiting from this legislation. I believe that this Act will eventually provide a PROFIT back from taxpayer money, and this PROFIT should be given back to the taxpayers in a very clear way.

However, it may not have been a bad thing that the bill did not pass today. Let me explain my thinking ... while the DOW dropped another 777.68 points today.

But do you realize that the delayed passing of the bill also (it seems) has caused overseas market problems. Australia and Asia have markets that are 10% down pre-opening, major banks around the world are being 'nationalized' ??? Other countries are going down!

They are selling out to each other and their economies are going down while their eyes are looking to us for help.

Meanwhile, the faster we recover, the better off THEY ARE! Let them sell themselves out. We can take it. We've been through worse. Let the guys we chose to represent us in the House & Senate hammer out the particulars for this Stabalization Act to WORK for the United States, as it should with the best interests of us taxpayers!

Alright, this is my thought. The Stabalization Act MUST be passed, AND when it is, it (unlike other countries) will pull our business out of the danger zone, it will allow businesses and consumers alike to be able to receive loans again, money will flow through our economy again, and we will recover stronger and RICHER than EVER BEFORE.

NOTE: Nationalized is basically being "saved" from bankruptcy by being backed by government money, not necessarily their own. << MORE >>

That's it. It's time to be more proactive. Take a look at the Economic Stabalization Act of 2008

I've had it. It's time to be more proactive. Take a look at the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 that's supposed to voted on by the House Monday, September 29, 2008.

Although I usually practice my right to vote, this is the first year that I have actively followed the Presidential Campaigns, and that has been mostly due to my increasing concern for my country over the past few years.

Sam and I have had many discussions about our United State's economy, the state of unrest in which our citizens are, and the lack of EMPOWERMENT allowed to armed forces.  This past year I have become increasingly concerned about our family and business safety: social, physical, and economical.

I have made a promise to myself, and I am making it publicly known thru this BLOG today that I am going to DO SOMETHING. I've decided to post my notes as blogs for the past few months ... << MORE >>
